FERRAN PALAU

In 2012, Palau presented his solo debut ‘L’Aigua del Rierol,’ but it was with his second album ‘Santa Ferida’ (Halley Records, 2016) that he garnered critical acclaim. His most intimate reflections and thoughts, bridging the gap between folk and pop (always co-produced with his cousin Jordi Matas), earned him the Enderrock de la Crítica Award in 2017. In 2018, he released ‘Blanc’ (Halley Records 2018), an album that solidified his trajectory with the audience, leading the Collbató-born musician to win awards such as the Premi Altaveu 2018, Premio Núvol 2018, Premi Timeout Barcelona 2018, and the best album of the year in Mondosonoro Cataluña. Ferran, also known as the Catalan Sufjan Stevens or Cass McCombs, presented his albums ‘Kevin’ (2019, Hidden Track Records) and ‘Parc’ (2020, Hidden Track Records) in the midst of the pandemic and now returns to conclude a phase where he reveals his most intimate and acoustic self, a return to his roots: JOIA.
